Science Philosophy and Culture in Historical Perspective

D.P. Chattopadhyaya, Director of the Project of History of Indian Science, Philosophy and Culture (PHISPC), was Professor of Philosophy at Jadavpur University, Calcutta and is currently a National Fellow of the Indian Council of philosophical Research (ICPR). 

S.R. Rao was Emeritus Scientist in the Department of Science and Technology, CSIR, from 1981 to 1992. Since 1992, he has been Advisor at the Marine Archaeology Centre, National Institute of Oceanography. 

S.N. Sen (late), one of the pioneers in the history of Indian Science, worked at the Indian Association for Cultivation of Science, Calcutta and Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, Calcutta. 

Pushpa M. Bhargava, formerly Director, Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology, has been associated with the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology and is presently running Anveshna Consultancy Services  at Hyderabad. 

Chandana Chakrabarti was Communication Officer at the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology from 1983 to 1993. Since then she has been running Sukriti, a Consultancy, at Hyderabad. 

Ravinder Kumar is Director, Nehru Memorial Museum and Library, Delhi and Chairman of the Indian Council of Historical research. 

B.M. Udgaonkar was Professor at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) and at the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education.
