Mathematics, Astronomy and Biology in Indian Tradition

D.P. Chattopadhyaya, Director of the Project of History of Indian Science, Philosophy and Culture (PHISPC), was Professor of Philosophy at Jadavpur University, Calcutta, and is currently a National Fellow of the Indian Council of Philosophical Research (ICPR). 

Pushpa M. Bhargava, formerly Director, Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology, has been associated with the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology and is presently running Anveshna Consultancy Services at Hyderabad. 

Chandana Chakrabarti was Communication Officer at the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology from 1983 to 1993. Since then she has been running Sukriti, a consultancy, at Hyderabad. 

C.K. Raju has taught mathematics and worked in theoretical physics for several years; he was a member of the team which developed the Param series of parallel supercomputers. 

D.K. Sinha was Professor of Applied Mathematics and Pro-Vice-Chancellor at University of Calcutta. 

A.K. Bag was till recently Deputy Executive Secretary and Head, History of Science Division, Indian National Science Academy, Delhi.
